Boden's Art

I am so proud of my little buddy. He drew the night sky today, and wrote his name... now there was a little verbal assistance from Mom and Dad, but VERY little - honestly, he did this all by himself, including writing his name... I put the spaces down, he did the rest without prompting. When he was done with the night sky, and the moon, we both told him it would look cool to have the earth there... he did everything else.

Okay - Boden had another soccer game, he did better, but he's still not a soccer player - more like a "hey coach, that kid pushed me down, so I'm going to pretend like I'm a rocket man and run around the group of kids that are playing soccer, make noises and finally lay in the grass as I come down for a landing" kind of player. He IS getting better though....focus, focus, focus..etc.




After the game we went over to Jordan's (Boden's Cousin) baptism, but we were late, so we didn't get any pictures of the beautiful white dress, etc. But I did have the sense to take a picture of Bentley (Travis and Lesley's new baby girl) with some of the kids.

More Music, Baby names and More

Okay, I added more music for your eclectic listening pleasure today. Also, I wanted to post a couple of pictures of Boden playing soccer. He has only had 2 games so far; so those of you who want a good chuckle and have some free time on Saturdays, call me for his schedule.



OHHH...I forgot. Boden went to Joey's 5th birthday party the other day, and came home with some dinosaur stickers...well we left Joeys, and they were on the sticker pad, but while we were driving home, he decided (unbeknownst to us) that they would look better on HIM then anything else... check it out!



Finally, I have been asked by a couple of people about the origin/meaning of the name Audrey Nicole, which is the name that we have chosen for our little girl (due June 18th). So here it is: Audrey : OLD ENGLISH and means - NOBLE STRENGTH
Nicole : Greek or (French?) and means - VICTORIOUS PEOPLE

Hog Trip to Arches - April 11th and 12th

Well - Shane Carson and I had a blast in Arches this past weekend. Here are some of the pictures. You can see more by going to our online photo album - there's a link on the right hand side of our main page. Anyway - next trip = Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and West Yellowstone. I'm really excited for that one - sometime in the next couple of months.

No Pictures - Just News

I figured that since it has been a while since I updated this site, I should at least put something on there. So here goes.....SOMETHING. Just kidding. There's a couple of things that I am thinking about right now...

#1. We have decided the name for our new baby girl (to be born in Mid June) ; Audrey Nicole Johnson. Brandy and I were going back and forth on the name Audrey, for a while. We had thought about some others like Jetta and London... but in the end Audrey just seemed right. Plus we couldn't have had our Jetta upstaged by Travis and Lesley's: Bentley (our new niece).

#2. LDS General Conference was great the past weekend. President Monson is a such an awesome man, and WOW President Uchtdorf was incredible. Boden did really good, and I am proud of him for sitting through 75% of it, and pretty much all but 1 talk of the last session.

#3. Shane and I are going on a hog ride this weekend - I don't like typing out the word motorcycle, and I don't like saying bike ride (because everyone will get the impression that we're a lot more in shape than we really are), so HOG ride it is - live with it. Anyway, we're planning on taking Carson and heading down to Moab, we're going to take some bed rolls (meaning blow up matresses!) and a tent and try to get a hike or two in at Arches while we're there. I am really looking forward to this.
